Meet Our People

Nafees Chaudhry is the founder of CNCPA. After completing his Bachelor’s of Commerce degree, majoring in Finance in 1997, Nafees joined Vancity Savings Credit Union, where he worked at the head office for a few years, before moving to Ethical Mutual Funds, joining the mutual fund valuation accounting team. At Ethical Mutual Funds, Nafees designed their North American RRSP Clone Equity Fund’s daily valuation financial model. Prior to this, he received his first accounting designation, Certified General Accountant and a few years later his second designation, Certified Management Accountant. Nafees also completed the Canadian Investment Security Course , received an Associate Certificate in Personal Financial Planning (BCIT with Hons) and the CGA Tax in-depth certification. As well in 2003 he received Coast Capital’s Savings’ Small Savings Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

He specializes in working with small to medium-sized businesses to meet all of their accounting, taxation and succession planning needs. He loves working beside and aiding small businesses, aiming to minimize their taxes and maximize the wealth of his clients. Nafees works on a one-to-one basis with small business owners, explaining to them various tax saving and business growth strategies. These sessions are invaluable for small business owners and set them up for success in their future endeavours. With his diverse background and more than 20 years of experience, Nafees works with numerous, unique industries, including retail, wholesale, real-estate construction, contractors, holding corporations, not-for-profit societies (NPO), as well as professional corporations.

Nafees writes articles for smallbusinessbc.ca, which is sponsored by the BC government for all entrepreneurs. He also speaks at seminars arranged by the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) for small business clients and RBC internal advisory team.

Outside of the office, Nafees enjoys to play sports, including hockey, basketball, and cricket. He frequently travels with his wife and four kids.

Yudi Fang, CPA - Manager

Yudi, joined CNCPA in 2019 as a staff accountant and in 2021 promoted as a manager. She completed her bachelor’s degree in general business in 2012 and subsequently worked for four years with the Bank of China as a financial analyst. Yudi also has a degree in accounting and completed H&R Block tax program, both of which reinforced her knowledge in assurance, taxation, and finance. Yudi successfully completed CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) program.

Yudi is organized, detail orientated, and focuses on assisting clients on a wide range of corporate, and personal tax matters, lawyer trust accounting, GST/PST matters, and dealing with various tax authorities. Yudi has experience in lawyer’s trust audits and preparing Report C for BC Law Society. In her spare time Yudi loves to play with her dog, go swimming, and spend time doing outdoor activities.

Amar Sandhu - Staff Accountant

Amar is a valuable addition to the CNCPA team as a staff accountant. She completed Master of Commerce in Finance and Bachelor or Commerce in Accounting. Amorjot helps small businesses in implementing new technological bookkeeping changes that improved accounting systems and reporting processes. Her passion for organizing financial systems and solving complex problems made a positive impact on the company’s financial health. With a strong background in bookkeeping, accounting, and tax filing, Amarjot has gained valuable experience in helping small businesses achieve their financial goals.

As a certified Xero Advisor and experienced user of QuickBooks, Amarjot has a deep understanding of various accounting software. She has a proven track record of managing multiple tasks and adapting quickly to new responsibilities. Currently, she is working towards her CPA program, demonstrating her commitment to advancing her knowledge and skills in the accounting and finance field.

May Yang - Staff Accountant

May joined CNCPA as a staff accountant in 2022. She has a Master degree in accounting from Waseda University and also has many years of audit, tax, and business consulting experiences with PwC and DTT mainland China.

She also gained valuable experience in Canada by working in the industry and in public practice. May is organized, detail orientated and focuses on assisting clients on a wide range of accounting, corporate and personal tax matters, US tax filing, investments, and business consulting.

May has fluency in Mandarin and Japanese. In her spare time, May loves hiking, listening to music, and spending time with her family.

Sijia Guo - Staff Accountant

Sijia joined CNCPA as an Office Administrator/Bookkeeper. She completed the Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Simon Fraser University with a strong foundation in financial accounting, business communication, and data analysis.

Sijia is bilingual in Mandarin and English, with a positive attitude and a passion for helping others. Sijia has experience in various roles, including accounting support, customer service, and instructional positions. She has demonstrated leadership by winning the Best Team Award in a business competition where she led an accounting group to success.

Sijia is detail-oriented, a team player, and enjoys skiing, snowboarding, and swimming activities.

Ahmed Zafar - Staff Accountant

Ahmed joined CNCPA as a Staff Accountant. He completed his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University in April 2026, and is currently enrolled in the CPA program.

Ahmed brings hands on experience in accounts payable, bank and credit card reconciliations, vendor management, and financial reporting, along with a background in retail sales and customer service. He is detail oriented, dependable, and has received recognition for his performance throughout his career.

Outside of work, Ahmed is an avid cricketer who has represented Lahore in domestic competition and led his team to a championship win.

I brought my 2018 return into CNCPA to be reviewed as I felt I had missed something when I had originally filed. Sure enough, they were able to spot it and I am now waiting for a refund from Revenue Canada in the mail! I dealt with the owner, Nafees, who is friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. I'll definitely be bringing my taxes to him again this year. It was a very positive experience.

Nafees has great problem solving skills. I had an issue with CRA for a while. They not only hold all my 2017 refund but also reassessed me for additional taxes. My previous accountant couldn't resolve the issue. Nafees handled the matter within few weeks. Not only I received my 2017 refund but also CRA reversed the reassessment. Nafees also filed 2018 taxes and I received my 2018 refund as well within couple of weeks. On the top of all this customer service was great, very polite staff. Fees was very reasonable. I will recommend Nafees for all the tax work. I am not going to change accountant anymore. This is the firm, I will be using from now on, for all my tax work.
